Runtime Governance Standards & Research

ManChine publishes open research on the architectural gap between an AI system's ability to continue operating and the legitimacy of the consequences it produces. The library includes the Runtime Governance Standards Series, foundational research, constitutional documents, technical architecture packages, and supporting publications.

Research Purpose

Better architectures emerge through open technical challenge.

The ManChine research program develops and tests concepts for governing consequential execution before and during runtime. Publication is intended to make the architecture inspectable, invite critique, and support collaboration across research, industry, and public-interest communities.

From standards foundation to supporting research

Readers may begin with the published Runtime Governance Vocabulary, then use the research, constitutional documents, and technical architecture packages to understand how the standards program developed and how its ideas are applied.

How independent systems exchange evidence and coordinate without collapsing their distinct trust boundaries.

How autonomous and semi-autonomous systems can remain accountable across high-impact operational environments.

Publication Principles

Research should be inspectable, challengeable, and usable.

ManChine publications distinguish conceptual claims from technical requirements, preserve version and status information, and remain publicly accessible unless legal, security, or partner obligations require otherwise. The objective is not publication for its own sake. It is architecture that can survive scrutiny.

Research Collaboration

Challenge the architecture. Extend the work.

We welcome rigorous critique, academic collaboration, implementation partnerships, and contributions from researchers working on runtime governance, AI assurance, safety, infrastructure, and institutional accountability.

A Living Research Program

The library will continue to grow with the architecture.

New specifications will be added as concepts move through research, drafting, technical review, and publication. Each release is another step toward governable consequential systems.
